An Omen – Germany’s Creeping Decline
Part 2: Resolution – What happened?
A few days later, over a cup of tea and fresh pastries, we reflected on the events in the Olfen Moor (1), which were caused by an unexpected onset of winter between April 4 and 8, 2022. During this period, so much snow fell that there was massive tree damage in some areas of the forest, but also in the villages of the higher Odenwald region. This raised the question of whether a similar phenomenon (apart from the massive breakage of birch trees) had occurred in other German low mountain range regions. After considering whether further research should be conducted, we realized that this event in the Olfen Moor was meant for us to interpret: on the one hand, because we were in the right place at the right time, and on the other hand, because we should consider the spiritual dimension of the event in order to draw conclusions from it.
The spiritual significance of the event
First, we reflected on how the event should be classified: Did it have a personal or a collective reference? Because we were there as a group at the time, we placed the event in a collective context. Nevertheless, because individuals were involved, different aspects could be incorporated into the analysis, which could be summarized in a preliminary interpretation.
Compilation of aspects of birch mysticism
Why did we focus on the birch tree when considering the events in the Olfen Moor? Specifically: What is the relationship between post-war Germany and the birch tree?
First, we analyzed the basic characteristics of the birch tree and located its habitat, which we found to be mainly in northern and eastern countries, enabling us to connect the spiritually significant events in the Olfen Moor with Germany.
Then we looked at the birch tree as a tree consisting of three basic components: the roots, the trunk, and the crown. The first two characteristics represent the material level, while the tree crown represents the spiritual level.
The bark of the birch tree, which is visible from afar in its white color, represents aspects of mental and physical purity. It is not without reason that birch sap, which is tapped fresh from the birch tree in Scandinavian countries and considered healthy, is used in healthcare: to cleanse the organs that excrete toxins (e.g., liver, kidneys), but also to purify the blood. Accordingly, the birch tree is considered a tree of life in the Nordic countries—and is revered.
If the birch tree represents the tree of life, it also symbolizes death and rebirth, connecting the numinous elements between the realm of the dead or ancestors and the world of shadows and the living. When birch trees appear shrouded in mist, don’t they seem like ghostly beings?

The birch tree
The bark of the birch tree, recognizable by its distinctive white color, symbolizes aspects of spiritual and physical purity.
To soften the image of the birch tree described above, we reminded ourselves that the birch tree stands for growth and strength. In feng shui, for example, a child’s room furnished with birch wood furniture is conducive to the child’s development, as it is said to promote independence and self-reliance. In earlier times, these aspects were already incorporated into the prams of small children, as these were often made of birch wood.
In general, the birch tree promotes creative processes, including spiritual ones, which are expressed in the May Day festival (May 1), among other things: May trees are erected, and parades, floats, houses (usually the entrances) or windows are decorated with small birch trees or birch branches. In this custom, birch is expressed as a harbinger of spring, as it is one of the first tree species to reawaken after winter, heralding the imminent growth in fields, forests, and meadows.
When we talk about growth and prosperity, we see the birch tree, which is associated with Venus, as an expression of the feminine, as a bearer of life, a nurturer, and, in the traditional sense, an educator. It is therefore not surprising that in runic mysticism, the birch tree represents the rune ‘BAR’ or ‘BERKANO’, which in turn represents the feminine aspects within the runic world. The rune ‘BAR’, represented as a pointed ‘B’, symbolizes the bosom of the woman (the nurturer). —

It is therefore not surprising that in runic mysticism, the birch tree represents the rune ‘BAR’ or ‘BERKANO’, which in turn represents the feminine aspects within the runic world.
Another characteristic of the birch tree, particularly in relation to spiritual and magical work, is that the use of birch essences can open the gateway to the spiritual world: incense burning with birch leaves and wood, as well as the use of wands and talismans made of birch wood in rituals.
Interpreting the signs
After discussing the fundamental spiritual aspects of the birch tree and roughly setting them down in writing, it became increasingly clear to our group that the broken birch tree in the Olfen Moor meant more than our initial assessments of the event unfolding before our eyes at the time.
The flattened, split, or broken birch trees, as well as (in a spiritual sense) the tree as a symbol of the bearer and nurturer of the land, pointed to increasing spiritual and moral instability and a steady growth in social conflicts. The fallen trunks – the trunk being seen as the economic basis of a materially oriented society – revealed the coming collapse of what had previously been considered economic stability.
Economic collapse
Spiritual signs do not lie!

Looking back at our analyses at the time and taking current economic data into account, we can rightly say: spiritual signs do not lie!
The feminine aspects of the birch tree
In further reflections on the events at Olfener Moor, we focused on the feminine aspects of the birch tree in its symbolic role as nurturer, birther, and the associated activity as “the” original traditional educator of children—the limbs of a people.
In this context, we discussed how fundamental changes were introduced into the traditional role of women, which were not only the result of the post-war period: with the arrival of the Romans in German (and other) countries, followed by Christian missionaries, Christianity negatively changed the role of women, who had originally been equal to men:
In the Lutheran Bible, New Testament, we read in “The First Letter of Paul to Timothy”:
„2:11 A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. 2:12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent. 2:13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor. (a) 2:15 But she will be saved through childbearing, if they continue in faith and love and holiness with prudence.“
In addition to these Christian “values” instilled in young girls from childhood, those conveyed by modernity played an important role in shaping today’s image of women: Women gradually became part of the work and earning process, because they were led to believe that only material independence and participation would lead to true liberating, creative individuality for women. This path, deliberately prescribed by modernity, led to a significant dilution of the feminine and spiritual aspects that women were born with.

The feminine and spiritual aspects are placed in a woman’s womb at birth.
Ethical and moral decay
The ethical, moral, and spiritual aspects attributed to human beings (represented by the birch crown) have, like the image of women, been dismantled and hollowed out by modernity for decades in order to transform people according to its ideology. This changed or prevented, due to the corrupted living conditions of people, as well as the manipulative influence of the representatives of materialism, the contrasting ways of thinking, acting, and living filled with spiritual content. This led to the visible and palpable irreversible low point of human coexistence, which in its most negative expression threatens to tear apart not only the German population. This situation was illustrated by the images of bent birch trees from the Olfen Moor, whose crowns (the spiritual-mental level) had sunk to the moor soil and seemed to be sinking into it. From this, we concluded that the human and spiritual aspects of the country would sink into a morass of corruption and ethical and moral negativity in the years following the Olfen Moor event, as a result of advancing materialism.
Summary (not a final conclusion!)
Since those days in April, Germany has been sinking steadily into the abyss of economic, intellectual, and spiritual decline, which is advancing inexorably and deteriorating the material and intellectual condition of the people.
The intellectual and spiritual decline, which has been a forced and deliberately introduced, creeping process in people’s daily lives since the existence of post-war Germany, corrupts communication and coexistence between (according to the generally accepted parlance) “those at the top (most of whom come from the bottom themselves!) and those at the bottom.”
The situation described above is particularly evident in the behavior of those who see themselves at the top of society or the population: the “elite” who act on purely technocratic structures. It is therefore not surprising that this administrative level, which can be classified as secondary in the pyramid system, measures, evaluates, and aligns the power it wields and constantly expands, as well as its self-organized material security, exclusively in terms of its own interests, disregarding any ethical or moral principles.
This elite circle, which imagines itself to be at the top of society, knows that it is merely an interchangeable cog in the wheel of the pyramid-structured world control system of the diabolical, materialistic dehumanization system. Its actions within the pyramidal system do not allow for disobedience, deviations, or rejection of the objectives set by the top of the pyramid, because this would very quickly undermine its material wealth, its use of power, and its assumption of belonging to the elite top of the power pyramid.

Many people, caught up in the flow of time and constantly influenced by the media, are unaware that at the dystopian end of this process, the self-appointed, Moloch-like pyramid top reigns supreme, planning to replace the masses, whom they consider insignificant, with AI-generated humanoids.
The current foundations of the control of social (including spiritual) processes, and the associated understanding and acceptance of human problems and needs, are subject to materialistic thinking and action. The control processes for this are purely technocratic in nature and serve as justification for the transformation of world and life processes, which is postulated as indispensable. Many people, caught up in the flow of time and constant media influence, are unaware that at the dystopian end of this process, the self-appointed, Moloch-like structured pyramid top reigns supreme, intending to replace the masses, whom they consider insignificant, with AI-generated humanoids: What is missing is the spiritual insight already established in ancient texts, namely that a world focused solely on material structures will always end in disaster. –
